Moving Update, Playdate, and Lost Tooth

Sitting here in a hotel room for the second night and I even update the blog! About time, right?
We picked up the truck today and loaded it all up. It's weird to look at a 15 foot truck, knowing that all of your worldly possessions are in it! The movers loaded it really well and worked magic getting it all on. We did get rid of a lot of stuff, but nothing really that we hadn't planned on ridding ourselves of. Now the task of cleaning the apartment. Fun times. Tomorrow will be full of cleaning and then we leave on Saturday morning for Maine! Oh, yeah!
We were able to squeeze in a playdate with Caoimhe today. I just wouldn't feel right moving away from here without Riley seeing her best friend. We met at a playground and stayed for a little over an hour, which was all we could spare. Caoimhe's adorable baby brother was getting fussy. He's so stinkin' cute! The girls just fell right into their rhythm. Caoimhe has just been a really great friend to Riley, which we all know is not easy! They just got along sooooo well. I think Caoimhe had a calming effect on Riley, a civilizing effect, if you will. It was kinda sad, on the way to the car, Caoimhe said, "Riley, I don't think we'll ever see each other again" as they walked hand-in-hand. I really can't move again! We'll all really miss Caoimhe. I hope that Riley can find good friends in Portland.
At dinner tonight, Riley's fifth tooth fell out! This girl is just dropping teeth! As her top teeth come in, I think they are beautiful teeth, with a nice shape, and straight so far. They really compliment her face.
Well, I have to get to bed. It's 11pm and we have a long week ahead of us! The bed is calling me....

My best friend moved away to a different state when I was 6 or 7 and we've stayed in touch all these years. We've visited each other as older kids and teens. Now we live in NYC together. I would encourage them to be pen pals. It could be a long lasting friendship. :)
