Beds

Just a quick one. The girls slept in their own beds last night, on their own floor of the house. All night. They didn't wake up once. Which kind of confirms my suspicion that bed sharing with a nearly-5yo and a nearly-7yo upsets everyone's sleep! None of us were sleeping well in that situation!
So, the girls took a bath, we herded them upstairs, and they each got into their very own beds. I read about 100 pages of a book (The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane) and Avery was asleep before I was done (which was kind of my goal, to read at least one of them to sleep, since they are both accustomed to being "tickled" to sleep, and I can't do that when they're in separate beds). I then say on the floor and rubbed Riley's leg and she quickly fell asleep. It was all said and done by 9pm. The girls then got up without waking me up, and Riley poured herself some cereal and was eating by the time my alarm clock went off.
And shortly after waking up and moving from the kitchen to the living room, we discovered the back legs and tail of a mouse. Looks like Ginger is jumping right in with all four feet! Ginger could be more considerate and dispose of the remnants, but beggars can't be choosers. I guess leaving parts behind is better than what Nikki used to do, vomiting up the whole partially digested carcass. What a choice, huh?
