Riley's First Day of School

Posing on the front steps of the school.
Catching up with Caoimhe. It had been a WHOLE day since they've seen each other!
Nothing much to say, really. Today was Riley's first day of school, as you probably gathered from the blog title :) Yesterday was the open house, and after strange initial shyness on both Riley and Caoimhe's part, they were inseparable as usual, as if summer never happened.
At the open house, Riley was totally taking care of Avery. It was so cute. Riley can be a good big sister when she needs to be. Avery starts tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes.
I was up until 3:30am finishing Riley's first day of school dress. I'm still not happy with the shoulder straps, but don't know what else I can do. I may just have to ditch the pattern for the straps and come up with my own. Hmmm...
Oh, and I still have to make Avery's first day of school dress, by tomorrow morning, and I haven't even started it yet. But I'm soooooooo tired...yawn.
One little snag this morning. Riley and Avery both lived in their sandals and flip flops this summer and put on their tennis shoes for the first time this morning and they are too small! Argh! Not cool on the first day of school to realize that shoes are too small. So after picking Riley up from school I'm going to take them to the Junior Bootery to let them pick out some shoes.
I'll update more when Riley gets home and I have news of what's she's done all day.
