Riley and Avery

Avery's first day of school was awesome! She pretty much walked off with Riley as soon as we got there, so Rudi and I waited around until they lined up to go in so that we could say goodbye to her. She had a fleeting look of trepidation, but it quickly passed. Rudi and I hung out at Borders just in case. Mondays or Wednesdays will likely be regular "date" days for us. It was nice to discuss things just between the two of us.

When we picked Avery and Riley up today, we got a complete report of her day. She was really excited about the stuff she did that was put in her cubby. The teachers say that she had a fabulous day. She even talked. We thought that she probably wouldn't talk, and be all shy. Riley didn't talk for the first year she was in preschool, it seems. We'll see how tomorrow goes!

Oh, Riley said something funny on the way to school. She said "Avery, you'll have your first circle time today! You can sit next to me and I'll sit between you and Caoimhe since you guys will be fighting over me."
