Easter

Trying to catch up on blogging here!  Boy, I'm behind!

We had a wonderful Easter.  Nothing too big.  Just a regular dinner.  Ham, of course, since I never pass up an opportunity to eat my favorite meat :)  Plus, it's cheap and can be eaten forEVER in all sorts of recipes.

The girls enjoyed their baskets and egg hunting, as usual.  This year, I bought blank puzzles and drew a map on each one, leading to where their basket was hidden.  Then I broke up the puzzle and put the pieces in the plastic eggs.  They had to put the puzzle together to find where their basket was.  Although my cartography skills leave a lot to be desired, they did manage to find the baskets.  We kept the candy to a minimum, and the girls ate only a portion of the small amount they got.  Rudi and I devoured the rest in record time :)

We spent the afternoon at the Dyer playground, where the girls ran themselves ragged.

Running all the way to the playground.

I'm fully aware that this isn't safe.  I let her do it a couple times, then called a halt to it after I envisioned her being impaled on a huge stick.

On the way home after a fun day!
