We went to Two Lights last weekend, and Crescent Beach today. It's nice going to them in the off-season, because we don't have to pay :) I think come warmer weather we will buy the annual state park pass since we will be spending a good amount of time at these beaches! I wonder what Crescent Beach will be like in the winter, since they're parking lot is insanely huge. I think they have a vendor there too during the peak season. We'll see. Right now, we enjoy having the shore nearly all to ourselves. Just a few joggers and dog-walkers there right now. And us.
I keep telling myself that I am going to get Riley a wetsuit so she can go in the water before it is comfortably warm, but so far I haven't done it. I'm not sure the water will be warm enough for swimming until late June or July, and it's hard to keep Riley out of the water even in November.
I just love that as we were walking towards Two Lights, when the water and shore can into view, both girls perked up, ran forward, exclaiming "It's so beautiful!" We picked a beautiful state to live in. I never even think of the mountains of Colorado. Mountains shmountains.
