Riley and Avery

I think Avery had a good birthday. She's obsessed over when she's turning 5 now. You've got a loooooong way to go, girl! We did mess up royally this year. All the talk about Riley's party and who she's inviting lead Avery to believe that she was having a big party too. Ooops. It was heartbreaking. The day before her birthday, she was talking about all the school friends that were going to come. Oh, goodness, it killed me! I told her that 5 year olds get big parties, so when she is 5 she can invite friends. Perhaps that's why she can't wait to be 5.

The train set that Grandma and Grandpa got her was by far the winner. She LOVES that thing! And she's being nice about sharing it too, which is a definite plus. The Snow White movie from Auntie Mina and Uncle Button and the boys came a couple days later and she was so thrilled. Snow White is her favorite bedtime story, and she didn't know that a movie existed, so it was a good day for her! Rudi and I got her some stamps and some stamp pads that she's been working with. All in all, a good day for her.
